Webb8 feb. 2024 · Using the website dnsleaktest.com and checking the logs confirmed that it is basically working. However, I cannot get dnssec working. I set the filter accordingly: grep dnssec /etc/dnscrypt-proxy2/dnscrypt-proxy.toml require_dnssec = true but the test failed for dnssec validation. My dhcp configuration is as follows: /etc/config/dhcp Webb13 juli 2024 · Quad9 has no special relationships with any of the alleged infringers. I always … Webb19 okt. 2024 · The issue is that unbound is not even MAKING an external request for these hosts, and it seems to be because it is adding the local domain as a suffix to the requested DNS query. If I try to force a root query by adding a traling dot (i.e. dns9.quad9.net. rather than dns9.quad9.net) then the query attempt does not even make it into the DNS logs.

Webb3 feb. 2024 · At the moment I choose the Quad9 because I have read the best in security and privacy, even at speeds it seems to be doing pretty well. In my opinion the best upstream resolver is one you control. Unbound is such a resolver and takes about 15 minutes to setup.
