WebChrony consists of chronyd, a daemon that runs in user space, and chronyc, a command line program for making adjustments to chronyd. Systems which are not permanently connected, or not permanently powered up, take a relatively long time to adjust their system clocks with ntpd. Webfalseticker Mills-speak for a timeserver identified as not reliable by statistical filtering. Usually this does not imply a problem with the timeserver itself but rather with highly variable and asymmetric network delays between server and client, but firmware bugs in GPS receivers have produced falsetickers.
